MUIDS x TED Club: Donation Drive for Thailand Flood Victims

 

In response to the ongoing flash floods in Northern of Thailand, the MUIDS TED Club initiated a donation drive throughout the week. Today, August 30th, 2024, marked a significant day as our school executives, led by Associate Professor Dr. Singhanat Nomnian, together with the Parent Auxiliary (PA) and student representatives handed over the donation items including medicines, bottled water, hygiene kits and cleaning supplies, non-perishable food items, clothing and footwear, and funds to the Mahidol University Foundation at the Mahidol Learning Center (MLC), the center hub for flood victims.

 

Prior to the donation day, the TED Club hosted a “Speak Out” event to address the flood crisis and highlight the importance of climate change awareness.

เนื่องด้วยสถานการณ์น้ำท่วมฉับพลันที่เกิดขึ้นทางภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย ชมรม TED Club โรงเรียนสาธิตนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จึงได้จัดตั้งโครงการรับบริจาคสิ่งของเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัย โดยรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สิงหนาท น้อมเนียน ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนสาธิตนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล พร้อมด้วยตัวแทนจากสมาคมผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนจากชมรม TED Club ร่วมกันมอบสิ่งของบริจาค อาทิ ยารักษาโรค, น้ำดื่ม, อุปกรณ์ด้านสุขอนามัย, อาหารแห้ง, เสื้อผ้า, รองเท้า และเงินทุนให้กับมูลนิธิมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ณ ศูนย์การเรียนรู้มหิดล ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางการรับบริจาคให้แก่ผู้ประสบภัยในมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

 

นอกจากนี้ ชมรม TED Club ได้จัดกิจกรรม “Speak Out” เพื่อพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับวิกฤตน้ำท่วมและเน้นความสำคัญของการตระหนักถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เกิดขึ้นในปัจจุบัน
