On May 22, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Singhanat Nomnian, Director of Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS), joined a thought-provoking academic exchange on Education, Teacher Professional Development (TPD), Inclusion, and Digital Technologies with faculty members from the University of Sussex, UK. The discussion featured Professor Julia Sutherland and Associate Professor Keith Perera and was held at the Kanphai Mahidol Conference Room, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahidol University.
This exchange took place during a collaborative visit by the University of Sussex faculty, who were participating in a workshop and joint academic activities with faculty members from Mahidol’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, including Associate Professor Dr. Arisara Leksansern (Associate Dean for Strategy and Quality Development), Lect. Dr. Panchit Longpradit (Chair of the M.Ed. Program in Educational Management – International) and Lect. Dr. Suthiporn Sajjapanroj (Lecturer of M.Ed. and Ph.D. Programs in Educational Management – International). The visit was part of the Mahidol–Sussex Collaboration on Education and the Challenges of Meeting the SDGs: Gender, Inclusion, Livelihoods and Sustainability, a project aimed at fostering academic cooperation in education, gender equality, inclusive participation, career development, and sustainability in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Following the discussion, Dr. Singhanat welcomed the visiting scholars to MUIDS for a tour of the school’s dynamic learning environment and state-of-the-art facilities — with a particular focus on the school’s computer science education and technology-enhanced classrooms.
