Organelle Speed Dating: Active Learning in Action at MUIDS!

Grade 10 students at Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS) took part in a fun and interactive “Organelle Speed Dating” activity as part of their General Biology class.

 

In this hands-on lesson, each student represented a different organelle, sharing its functions and location within the cell through timed mini-discussions. During each “speed date,” students exchanged key information, asked questions, and filled out a guided worksheet to deepen their understanding.

The activity concluded with a structured class review, ensuring clear and accurate comprehension of all organelles.

 

This engaging approach not only strengthened students’ knowledge of cell biology but also encouraged active learning, communication, and collaboration in the classroom.
