“Students at MUIDS learn to take charge of their education. Their teachers are not their instructors; they are their guides. They come from all over the world, bringing diverse and insightful perspectives into the classroom. Our students are encouraged to discover their passions through a wide range of courses and activities, developing the skills and confidence they need to find their unique path to success. ”

-Associate Professor Dr. Wariya Chinwanno, School Director

Teachers

“I love watching my students, most of whom have never been challenged before, rise to the occasion and gain confidence. Their personalities start to shine through. They see my class, as well as most classes at MUIDS, as outlets for self-expression. Students that are quiet learn how to speak up, and even quiet students still find ways to express themselves. By the time they graduate they have a much better sense of who they are and what they want out of life. It’s a great thing to see and it’s why I go to work every morning.”

-Mr. Matthew Allsopp (Head of Modern Languages)

“The hands-on/real-world activities were something I loved the most about learning at this school. It really created characteristics that stand out in college. MUIDS teachers were also amazing. I was astonished that the faculty could be more than just teachers; they could be friends. MUIDS really is just one big family and I am proud to be a part of it.”
