“What I enjoy most about working in education is the opportunities it gives me to help young adults make their way in the world. Many of our students will move on from us, but there are those that remind us of how worthwhile the endeavor is. They are a joy to be around.”

My MUIDS Story

“I love watching my students, most of whom have never been challenged before, rise to the occasion and gain confidence. Their personalities start to shine through.

They see my class, as well as most classes at MUIDS, as outlets for self-expression. Students that are quiet learn how to speak up, and even quiet students still find ways to express themselves.

By the time they graduate they have a much better sense of who they are and what they want out of life. It’s a great thing to see and it’s why I go to work every morning.”
